Hamilton County Schools invites you to join us for Better Together, our district-wide community engagement effort and a key part of our #FirstDayReady initiative, celebrating the power of working together to support our students, educators, and schools as we prepare for a new school year. Better Together connects families, community members, and schools to help create safe, welcoming, and vibrant spaces where every child can thrive from the very first day of school.

Last year, Better Together grewn from a single-day event into two weeks of opportunities to get involved from campus beautification projects to welcoming activities and our Back to School Bash. Whether you’re a parent, neighbor, business partner, staff member, or student, there’s a place for you to make a difference and help ensure all students and families have a strong, welcoming start to the school year.

Family and group volunteers are welcome, and it’s even better when you bring friends, neighbors, coworkers, or church groups along. Please note that children under 16 must be supervised by a parent or guardian and cannot participate in painting projects.

If you’re unable to volunteer but still want to support Better Together, there are sponsorship opportunities through the HCS Foundation, and many projects are in need of donated materials or loaned tools. Whether you volunteer your time, share your skills, or donate supplies, there are many ways to get involved. Let’s show what’s possible when we come together to help our schools and students be #FirstDayReady!

Thank you to our sponsors :
