The mission of HCS is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and support to THRIVE in life. While we know this mission starts with a primary focus on academics, we also understand from listening to our community that a student must possess qualities beyond academics to excel in the real world. We strive to create graduates who embody our "Portrait of a Graduate" with skills rooted in academics, problem-solving, effective communication, cultural inclusivity, and resiliency.

🎓✨ Senior Spotlight: Jude Carpenter ✨🎓Throughout his time at Chattanooga High School Center for Creative Arts, Jude Carpenter says his high school experience has been both “fun and definitely challenging.” Between balancing school, friendships, art, and involvement in multiple communities at CCA, he describes the journey in one word: “hectic.”This fall, Jude will attend University College Dublin in Ireland, where he plans to study agri-environmental science with a focus on agriculture and sustainability. Inspired by growing up outdoors in Chattanooga, he hopes to pursue a future where he can make a positive impact on the environment and help protect the natural spaces he loves. At CCA, Jude has been deeply involved in the visual arts program, where teachers like Mr. Burnett and Mr. Black encouraged him to step outside of his comfort zone and experiment creatively. From blacksmithing handmade frames for his artwork to building moving sculptures and creating stop-motion films, Jude says he simply “loves making things.”As he prepares for his next chapter abroad, Jude says moving to Ireland is both exciting and nerve-racking, but he’s looking forward to the opportunity and new experiences ahead. Looking back on his time at CCA, he hopes to be remembered for encouraging younger art students to explore creativity without fear and for leaving his mark on the school’s art spaces. No matter where life takes him, Jude says success means being able to look back and feel proud of the positive impact he made on the world around him. 🌎🎨✨ ...
