Think you could stop a cyberattack? 👀💻High school seniors from across the district put their problem-solving skills to the test during the BlueSky CyberOps Challenge, designed and led by Public Education Forward at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee! These young students learn 9-1-1 safety! 📞💛Lookout Valley Elementary students welcomed a police dispatcher for a 9-1-1 education program that helped them learn when it’s appropriate to call for help. Through a story and a call demonstration, students explored what to expect when calling 9-1-1.Thank you to our emergency response partners at the Hamilton County Emergency Communications District for helping our students build the knowledge and confidence to stay safe!
Juniors and seniors from across Hamilton County Schools came together for the Superintendent’s Student Leadership Council’s first meeting of the school year, bringing their own perspectives and the voices of the peers they represent. As they connected and exchanged ideas, they began exploring how they could help make their schools even better.We look forward to seeing what these student leaders build together through listening and collaborating for their school communities.Student voices help shape the school experience.
Today, East Hamilton High School JROTC hosted their annual Into the Hurricane Raider Competition! 🌪️Teams put their stamina, teamwork, and determination to the test through a series of events challenging their physical and mental strength.We loved seeing all of the teams show up ready to work hard, support each other, and take on the challenge! #hcsstories

Hamilton County Schools earned an NSPRA Award of Merit through the National School Public Relations Association’s (NSPRA) 2026 Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards. The honor recognizes excellence in school communications and marketing and places HCS among education organizations from across the United States, Canada, and Department of Defense Education Activity schools worldwide.
